"Although it is a rare occurrence, once every 200 years, the two suns on Rigellius Prime create an interesting paradox in which night and day exist as one. When Rigellius' moon passes directly in front of the second sun, a slight eclipse occurs, and an eery twilight lasts for a breathtaking 45 minutes."

I had a fun and interesting time learning how to make this image. My first step was learning how to perfect some billowy clouds, then use the twist and shear shader to enhance the terrain, followed by numerous sun positions (both behind the moon and in front of the planet), and finished off with help from MeltingIce's tutorial on adding stars.

Enjoy and comments are most appreciated! :)

I'd love to, but I need to get around to registering TG2. The max size in the free version is only 800x600.

I would have jumped on it earlier but with college and everything, I don't really have the time to be rendering things.

Hmm, yea that would prove rather hard to render if your busy at college. Although one thought is you can get something like $100 usd. off terra 2 with a student discount in adition to already owning terra 1 so around 200 dolars off the version with animations

Well, two things, I don't have a registered version of TG1, and I doubt I would get a discount; Especially since I'm a mechanical engineering major, not a visual arts major.

If I wasn't away from home all the time, I would use my home computer as my render machine, unfortunately, I only get about 2 1/2 days home at most, so a lot of renders would be complete by the time I had to leave.
